What is a Social Stripe?
It’s a piece of artwork made from your Instagram feed. Every post becomes one vertical colored stripe, lined up from your oldest post on the left to your newest on the right — inspired by climate stripes.
How are the colors created?
Your screenshots are read directly in your browser. We find the post grid, average the pixels of each post down to a single color, and place those colors side by side with no gaps — oldest on the left. The analysis happens on your device; the images are never uploaded.
Do I need to connect my Instagram account?
No. This preview works entirely from screenshots. Connecting a Business or Creator account is planned as an option later, but it will always stay optional.
Are my screenshots stored?
No. They stay in your browser’s memory and are never uploaded to a server. Close the tab and they’re gone.
Does this work with private accounts?
Yes. Because you upload your own screenshots, it works exactly the same for private profiles.
When will the full version be available?
It’s in active development. Leave your email through “Notify me when ready” and you’ll hear from us first.
